We are providing this Idaho National Forest GIS Data for people that are interested in building their own maps. They may be updated at a future date as the different features continue to be separated such as landmarks, roads and trails etc. Each data set is in a different format. This format that each file is provided in was based on the format that each national forest used when we requested the data. The different types of Idaho National Forest GIS DATA includes: Shape Files, Personal Geo Databases, File Geo Databases, and EEO. This data is provided free of charge. We are not responsible for the contents of these files, or any of the data contained therein. Please use these files at your own risk.

We provided these files in 7-zip format as this is an open source program that anyone can download free of charge. Please follow the link below to download the program for your use.
The 7-zip program was used to archive these files instead of alternative programs such as winzip. We used this program due to the higher compression ratio’s. If you need a copy of this program you can get it for free from Sourceforge.net at the link below. The 7-zip program is capable of handling more archive format’s than most other zip programs.
